Who doesn’t love a good highlight? I feel like in the past one or two years, most beauty bloggers were all about finding the perfect highlighter that makes the cheekbones glow so much that aliens can still see you from outer space. I’m also a fan of highlighter, and since there’s nothing Makeup Revolution doesn’t do well, obviously I had to order the Radiance Highlighter palette!
The packaging is the same as all MUR palettes – black, sleek, with a big mirror on the inside. Unfortunately, mine arrived with a small crack in one of the powders and the clasp doesn’t close securely. That sucks, but considering I ordered at least 5 other palettes at the same time which were all fine, I am willing to ignore that. Shit happens!
Shade wise from left to right, we have a champagne highlighter, a more icy pearl highlighter and a golden highlighter. And I gotta say, even though I thought I couldn’t get away with wearing the gold shade as a highlight, it’s actually my favourite! I have a rather light skintone, but somehow it just blends in super nicely and gives the perfect golden glow – it just looks like summer, which I love. And it works brilliantly as a wash of gold on the eyelids as well, and who doesn’t love a good multi-purpose product? The two lighter shades work well as brow and inner corner highlights as well – I’m getting use out of all three shades, which I think is important with palettes like these; otherwise it’s just a waste of money.
Since these powders are very pigmented, I tend to use them with the Zoeva Petit Stippling brush – most other brushes just pack on too much product. They blend out well and stay on a very decent amount of time – although that varies for everyone I suppose, just depends on how oily your face gets during the day. My general verdict: If you’re into the whole glowy trend and want a decent palette that offers some variety, this one is a great pick that will probably last you forever!
