Posie K – Kylie Cosmetics

So I’ve already reviewed True Brown K a few weeks ago, so let’s talk about a more wearable shade from the Kylie Cosmetics range: Posie K. To all the lovers of mauvey pink lipsticks: This is your colour.

Kylie Cosmetics Posie K Review

Formula wise, this is exactly the same as True Brown K – the liner is pretty creamy and smooth, the liquid lipstick is thin in consistency, dries down in about a minute and is here to stay. If you’re a fan of super matte and that velvety feeling on your lips, the Kylie Cosmetics range will make you happy. As already mentioned before: These liquid lipsticks have a very sickly sweet smell that faints after application, but it’s really heavy and I could definitely do without it. It always reminds me of Lancome’s La Vie Est Belle perfume, which is the most sickly sugary scent I’ve ever smelled in my life – not a fan.

Since getting your hands on the Kylie lip kits isn’t as easy as it should be, I thought it might be good to look through my collection and look for similar colours and formulas – the closest dupe in terms of shade and the way it applies would be the MAC Pro Longwear Lipliner in In Control, another mauve I adore. In terms of longevity, I think the Kylie lipkits can be compared to the Sephora Cream Lip Stains (the shade Marvellous Mauve is also similar to Posie, but a bit cooler-toned!) – if you’re not planning on devouring a greasy pizza for lunch, they last for an entire work day, which is pretty awesome.

Dolce K is up next! What do you think about Posie K – yay or nay? 🙂
